Cluster General Manager – Job Description
Overview:
The Cluster General Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the largest property in the country, which serves as the staff training center. This role is based on-site, ensuring smooth and profitable operations while maintaining high guest satisfaction. Additionally, the Cluster General Manager supervises all properties within the country’s portfolio, ensuring operational excellence, compliance with brand standards, and successful execution of property renovations and rebranding projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Property Management & Operations:
Directly manages the operations of the largest property, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and guest satisfaction.
Oversees daily operations of other properties, with property hotel managers reporting directly to them.
Serves as the first point of contact for emergency situations across all properties and ensures proper contingency procedures are followed.
Training & Development:
Oversees training programs and staff training schedules, including new property manager training, F&B training, housekeeping training, and other operational training initiatives.
Renovation & Rebranding:
Leads the renovation and rebranding of properties across the country’s portfolio, ensuring alignment with company standards.
Compliance & Brand Standards:
Ensures adherence to Collective Hospitality standard operating procedures, brand standards, fire-life safety regulations, food safety policies, and proper signage implementation.
Expansion & Development:
Identifies new development opportunities for potential resort expansions within the country to grow the CH brand.
Maintenance & Asset Management:
Oversees preventive maintenance programs and ensures the proper implementation of property management and maintenance programs across all properties.
Support Functions:
Provides strategic input on revenue management, sales conversion opportunities, human resources, and finance, but does not directly manage these departments.
Exclusions (What This Role Does Not Cover):
Do not Oversight of Sales, HR, Finance, or Marketing: supports these functions, but does not manage them directly.
Requirements:
Minimum 7 years of experience in multi-property hotel management, with a strong background in operations.
Proven track record in overseeing large-scale hospitality operations and implementing training programs.
Experience in renovation, rebranding, and expansion of hospitality properties.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple property managers and ensure operational consistency across all locations.
Experience in crisis management and handling emergency situations.
Knowledge of hospitality compliance standards, including fire-life safety and food safety regulations.
Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities for resort expansion.
This role requires a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of hotel operations, staff training, and brand compliance, capable of managing multiple properties while driving efficiency and profitability.
