Job Summary: The Front of the House team plays a vital role in delivering outstanding customer service, ensuring a warm and engaging atmosphere for all guests. At Collective Hospitality, the reception and bar operate as a single, integrated unit known as "Barception." This innovative concept combines front desk operations, food & beverage service, and bar management into a seamless guest experience.
While each team member has a primary role, they must possess the flexibility and multitasking ability to efficiently support different areas as needed. During peak times, staff may be required to assist across various functions, ensuring smooth operations and consistently high service standards.
Responsibilities
Guest Services & Front Desk Duties:
Provide a friendly, welcoming, and efficient service to all guests in line with company vision and values.Greet guests upon arrival, check them in and out, and manage reservations.
Handle customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring guest satisfaction.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception and common areas.
Respond to online reviews and guest feedback in a timely and professional manner.
Engage with guests via WhatsApp Guest Chat and ensure a smooth communication flow.
Perform general administrative tasks, including managing correspondence, emails, filing, and switchboard operations, to ensure efficient reception area operations.
Complete required training sessions such as first aid, health and safety, and customer service to enhance professional development.
Accurately manage and oversee the petty cash system and financial float to maintain accountability.
Promote and coordinate guest services, including tours, shuttle transportation, and equipment rentals, ensuring seamless experiences.
Continuously strive to enhance guest satisfaction by providing outstanding service and personalized attention.
Implement guest experience initiatives such as welcome drinks and activity programming.
Food & Beverage Service Duties:
Ensure high standards of cleanliness and organization in all dining and bar service areas.
Take orders and serve food and beverages in a timely manner while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
Maintain high communication with bartenders and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
Promote sales of food, beverages, and experience offerings.
Assist with opening and closing procedures in accordance with company checklists.
Ensure beverages are served at the correct temperature and in accordance with company standards.
Bartending Duties:
Prepare and serve classic and innovative cocktails, ensuring quality and consistency. Maintain stock levels of bar supplies, ensuring fridges, freezers, and storage areas are well-stocked.
Adhere to responsible alcohol service practices and maintain knowledge of local liquor laws.
Assist in maintaining an engaging and vibrant bar atmosphere.
Keep the bar organized, clean, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Maintain the established standards for cocktails and beverages to ensure quality and consistency while achieving the unit's cost objectives.
General Operations & Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with the operations team to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Actively participate in weekly and monthly programming, planning, and execution of events.
Support marketing and brand initiatives by creating content for social media and promotions.
Foster relationships with local communities and support local cultural activities.
Uphold brand standards in communication and guest interactions.
Attend required training sessions (e.g., first aid, health & safety, customer service).
Requirements:
Fluency in English and the local language.
Experience in hospitality, food & beverage service, or customer service.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) systems and property management systems is a plus.
Experience in bartending, event planning, or marketing is an advantage.
Positive, energetic, and team-oriented personality.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
