Job Overview
The Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing the Latam´s tax strategy, ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations, and managing risk related to financial reporting. This role requires a strong understanding of corporate tax laws, regulatory compliance, and internal controls. The manager will work closely with finance, legal, and external advisors to optimize tax planning and maintain compliance with evolving regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Tax Management
● Developing and implement the company’s tax strategy, ensuring
compliance with local and international tax laws.
● Overseeing the preparation and filing of federal, state, local and
international tax returns.
● Preparing and presenting detailed reports on the company´s tax situation
for senior management.
● Analyzing and reviewing financial data to identify tax savings and
minimizations opportunities.
● Managing tax audits and liaising with tax authorities as needed.
● Conducting research on tax laws and regulations, keeping abreast of
changes and developments.
● Assessing tax implications of business transactions and advising
leadership on tax-efficient strategies.
● Managing and coordinating tax provision and tax compliance process.
● Overseeing transfer pricing policies and ensure proper documentation.
● Develop and implement internal policies to align with regulatory
requirements.
● Conducting regular internal audits to identifying compliance risks and proposing corrective measures.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or related field (Master’s or CPA preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management, compliance, or finance.
Experience in multinational corporations or Big 4 firms is a plus.
Technical & Soft Skills
Strong knowledge of local and international tax regulations.
Familiarity with tax reporting systems.
Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Experience with tax policies country and municipal across Latam.
English qualifications.
